Stephen Scott joins the Global Marine Management Team

Management changes allow for continued successful execution of business strategy

Chelmsford UK: Global Marine is pleased to announce the arrival of Stephen Scott as Commercial Director, demonstrating the continued financial and managerial investment from its parent company, Bridgehouse Capital. By creating this position, Bridgehouse Capital has further confirmed its commitment to Global Marine whilst consolidating its commercial focus at a senior level.

Stephen brings a wealth of telecom and marine expertise, combined with a successful track record of leading commercial operations for large international organisations in Europe, the US and Asia. By way of background, he previously served as Sales Director at Global Switch and Managing Director at Clear Blue Technologies, NaviSite, and PSI Net Europe. Prior to that, he spent 10 years in a variety of commercial roles. Stephen also served in the Royal Navy as an Air Engineering Officer.

“Since purchasing Global Marine in August 2004, we have carefully and methodically realigned our business to reflect the realities of current markets” said Gabriel Ruhan, Managing Director. “Now that we have successfully turned the business around, we have an opportunity today to continue building healthy business across global markets with our core products and services. The addition of Steve to our management team, with his depth of experience in these areas, adds significantly to our ability to execute our plan.”

Global Marine is also announcing the departure of Chris Lisher. In his role as Operations Director, Chris played an instrumental role over the past year in transforming Global Marine to a financially healthy and independent market leader. “We want to thank Chris for all of his efforts on behalf of the company,” said Ruhan. “Chris provided leadership during a very difficult period and we wish him the best of fortune in his future endeavours.”
