Robert Gibson
Captain Robert Gibson began his career aged 17 as a deck cadet and, in 1981, joined Cable & Wireless (Marine) Ltd where he progressed to the rank of Master in 2002.
He has a wealth of experience and since joining Global Marine has helped lead the company's diversification into the Oil and Gas industry on board the CS Bold Endeavour. Significant projects include the Gulf Terra rig leg and pipeline inspection and also the Titan salvage rig leg recovery.
Robert is an avid reader of sporting biographies, specifically rugby union and cricket, as these were his two favourite sports as "a youngster". Continuing the sporting theme, he has also managed to get down to an 18 handicap in golf!
