Health & Safety (OHSAS)

The Board of Directors are actively committed to the provision of strong and active leadership in all matters of Health and Safety, and will provide adequate resources, information and training to ensure that objectives set by the Board for continuous improvement throughout the business.

Global Marine Systems is committed to providing a working environment that is safe and healthy for the safety of its employees as paramout and acknowledges responsibility to contractors and visitors that may be affected both on and offshore.  The company's operations shall be carried out so as to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that the Health, Safety or conditions of any person or property will not be adversely affected.

The health and safety of those around us in our organisation is paramount to our success; as a team, we all look after each other.

In July 2009, Global Marine Systems was accredited to OHSAS 18001:2007 occupational health and safety assessment series, in the past we have enjoyed regular Royal Society of the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Gold Awards and we've won their prestigious Sector Award (which interfaces with our ISM (International Safety Management) certification). This recognition is managed by the Maritime and Coastguards Agency (MCA) for our UK-registered ships and other appropriate registries worldwide.

Yet we don't and we won't rest on our laurels. This is why we have a clear, achievable policy to underpin everything we do.
