John Golding
After working at sea for 20 years, with 6 years in active Command, John finally, 'swallowed the anchor’ and came ashore in 1999 and is now the Operations Director reporting to the CEO. John is responsible for directing the day-to-day activities of Global Marine Systems and for the operations management , ensuring that business operations are efficient and resources (ships, equipment and people), are optimally utilised which are equally effective in meeting our customers’ expectations.
John's principle responsibilities:

Manages resources such as Fleet, Submersible equipment and tools, depots and staff to the most productive use with the aim of creating maximum value for the company's stakeholders.

Lead by developing and cascading the organisations strategy/missoin statement to the lower ranking staff, and implementing appropriate rewards/recognition and coaching/corrective practices to align personnel with company goals.

Plan by prioritising customer, employee and business requirements

Maintaining and monitoring staffing levels, knowledge, skills ,competencies, expectations and motivation to fulfill organiisatonal requirments.

Drives performance measures for the measurement of an operation's performance and consideration of efficiency versus effectiveness, using the GMSL balance scorecard known as the CEO dashboard to review the high level key performance indicators.

The development, design, operation, and improvement of the systems that create and deliver GMSL’s products and services.

Responsible for ensuring that business operations are efficient and effective, and that proper managment of resources, distribution of fleet and service level to customers.

Overall responsible for Safety in the business ensuring our Safety Management System is monitored and continually improved.
