Mark Leggett

Mark Leggett is CEO, Global Marine Systems Energy, Ltd

Mark has over 30 years experience focused in the Energy, Renewable Energy and Oil and Gas sectors. He was CEO at Simon Carves Limited, President and CEO at Aker Kvaerner Engineering Services Limited and sat on the main board of the UK Nuclear Decommissioning Authority as Commercial Director.

Prior to joining Global Marine, Mark had his own company Square 1 Limited which specialised in supporting blue chip organisations in business improvement within the Renewables sector.

Throughout his career Mark has worked on major change management and business improvement programmes, from turning around problematic multi-million Euro projects to redefining industry wide strategies at a macro/government level in the Nuclear Clean Up sector. In recent years, Mark was appointed in the role of Turnaround Director by Lloyds Development Capital and HSBC bank to review struggling investments in the North Sea, Offshore Wind, Sub-sea Cable sector. This has given him a unique insight into the issues the industry faces and the consequences these can have on project and business outcomes.
