Nick Mauger
 

Captain Nick Mauger went to sea in 1979 at the tender age of 16, with Shell Tankers.

He worked on oil and gas tankers, bulk carriers and refrigerated cargo vessels before joining BT Marine in 1993. His first cable vessel command was CS Monarch in 2000 which was at that time the busiest cable repair vessel in the world; he has completed numerous repairs in both deep and shallow water.

Significant projects include the Gulf Terra rig leg and pipeline inspection and also the Titan salvage rig leg recovery; he was also involved in the Svalbard cable lay project.

He has central government clearance and has completed many projects on UK/US military cables.

Nick lives on the quiet island of Guernsey and enjoys reading and diving whenever the water is warm enough not to require a dry suit.
