Catering Assistant

Purpose:

To assist the Catering Supervisor in providing catering for the Boreham facility, staff, customers, clients and training school attendees 

Key Deliverables:   

  • Deliver an efficient and effective service to all customers
  • Design and prepare the weekly soup and specials menu
  • Sandwich, snack and buffet preparation
  • Maintain stock levels on Salad Bar
  • Ensure that all sales are recorded in the cash register at time of purchase and follow all cash handling procedures
  • Perform general cleaning duties and ensure that all areas meet with current hygiene and safety standards
  • Menu design for buffets and small functions

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

Required

  • Needs to be well organised
  • Flexible and reliable
  • Plenty of enthusiasm and commitment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Hold current Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Good oral communication and interpersonal skills 

Ideal

  • Experience in the catering trade
