- Aniva Bay: Global Marine was sub-contracted by Saipem to install a 5 km length of integrated power/telecom cable from the beach to a Tanker Loading Unit. The cable had to be buried to a minimum cover depth of 0.5 metres through rock. Learn More >>
- BT Liberty: BT contracted Global Marine for the supply and installation of the land cable from the beach manholes to the terminal stations, and the full marine main lay and separate shore-end operations of Liberty Cable System between St Sampson Terminal Station in Guernsey and the Stoke Flemming Terminal Station in Devon, UK. - Hanibal: Tunisie Telecom contracted for the supply and installation of fibre optic cable for the Hannibal Submarine Cable System between beach manholes in Tunisia and Sicily. Learn More >>
- Hugo: This project consisted of 45kms of plough burial in participation with General Offshore our nominated subcontractor to perform the in-shore works and lay at the landing point of Lannion Bay, France. Learn More >>
- Kelvin: Hibernia Atlantic UK Limited contracted Global Marine Systems for the marine installation of Project Kelvin’s subsea cable network. The cable network incorporates approximately 25km of fibre optical cable connecting Portrush, Northern Ireland to Hibernia Atlantic’s existing submarine fibre optical cable from Southport, UK to Halifax, Canada. - Kit Valley: In November 2006, the Korean Meteorological Association (KMA) commissioned the installation of the pioneering ‘Ocean Bottom Unit’ (OBU) 20km off the coast of Ullenungdo (an island 135km east of the Korean peninsula) which acts as a ‘listening device’ to detect and monitor high levels of seismic activity. - Suriname Guyana: Telesur & GT&T contracted for a two fibre pair solution terminated between Trinidad and Guyana, with a Branching Unit into Suriname. The 1300km system was installed as a repeatered solution with optimum repeater spacing of 70km. Learn More >>
